Girls Stingers

Learn the fundamentals of Girls lacrosse through progressive drills and plays! Each week practice will build upon skills taught the previous week. 

Can my daughter use a boys stick for practice?

No. The girls needs to use girls sticks in order to properly learn stick skills.  

Do you have sticks to borrow? 

No. Each player will have to have their own girls stick. 

Do you have stick recommendations?

Yes. Please visit our Resources page for Girls Stinger Stick Recommendations.

Do you have goggles to borrow? 

We have goggles to borrow on a first come first serve basis. If you have a pair of your own, please bring them to wear. 

Does my daughter need to wear cleats?

Running shoes are just fine. If you have cleats on hand, your daughter is welcome to wear those.

Do you practice rain or shine?

We will cancel/reschedule practice if there is concerning weather or if the City closes a field. We recommend having Game Changer ON to be alerted of real-time practice changes.

Will there be any games?

The girls will practice with a coach for 5 weeks with fun and progressive drills. In week 6 they will play a "game" with our Bees Youth Lacrosse players and coach helpers.

If there is an opportunity to play a game with a neighboring community later in the season, we will schedule a scrimmage. 

What else is good to know for Stingers?

All players will need a mouthguard. Please bring it to every practice.

The Stingers team will be coached by Bees Youth Lacrosse coaches and BBH Girls High School players. We welcome any parents interested in learning the fundamentals of the sport and game with the purpose to coach to join us in practice.
